Asset categories, organized from day one
Assets are organized into five fixed categories — computers, mobile devices, networking equipment, servers & storage, and other, where you can add any item.
Know what devices and inventory your company owns, who has it, and its specifications without spreadsheets, manual logs, or follow-up messages. Company asset tracking on WebWork gives you a single place to register every device and piece of equipment, assign it to team members, and track its full history from day one.

Add company devices and inventory to WebWork for a simpler company equipment tracking.
Assets are organized into five fixed categories — computers, mobile devices, networking equipment, servers & storage, and other, where you can add any item.
Within each category, WebWork includes preset types like laptop or tablet to get you started. You can also create custom types such as software subscriptions or anything else you need.
If your team already uses the WebWork Desktop Tracker, you can directly pull the devices it’s installed on into your asset register. Or you can add any other company asset manually.
Whether you’re managing ten devices or several hundred, WebWork gives you the tools to keep your asset register accurate and up to date. As asset tracking software for small business and growing teams alike, it covers everything.
Assets are automatically marked as “In Use” when assigned to a team member and switch back to Available when unassigned. You don’t have to update it manually.
Owners and Executive Managers can assign and reassign any asset to a workspace member directly from the asset list.
Every asset has a dedicated audit log that shows the asset assignment history. You can see who the asset was assigned to, when the assignment was made, and who made the change.
Bulk-add assets by uploading a CSV file or by selecting from the list of devices that WebWork Desktop Tracker is installed on.
Export the full asset list at any time as CSV, XLSX, or PDF file. Useful for external audits, inventory reports, or keeping a record outside the platform.
Assets that are no longer active can be archived rather than deleted, keeping your main view clean without losing the record. Archived assets can be restored at any time if needed, for example after employee asset retrieval.

Finally, a structured way to manage equipment
As we grew from 15 to 60 people, keeping track of laptops and phones became a real problem. WebWork’s asset register gave us a structured way to assign equipment (especially IT asset management) from day one and know exactly where everything is. The CSV import made it easy to get our existing inventory in without starting from scratch.

One platform for time and assets
We’ve been looking for a way to manage company devices without maintaining a separate system. Having asset tracking with time tracking in the same platform means we don’t have to cross-reference two tools to know who has what and how they’re spending their time. The audit log alone has saved us a lot of back-and-forth during offboarding.
Asset tracking fits any team that assigns equipment to employees and needs a reliable record of where it is. From IT and finance to HR and asset tracking for remote teams, WebWork gives every role a clear view of company inventory without the back-and-forth.
IT managers use the asset register to maintain an accurate inventory of all company devices — tracking specifications, current assignees, and assignment history without relying on spreadsheets or separate ticketing systems.
Operations and office managers use company device management tools to handle day-to-day equipment logistics: assigning devices to new hires, reassigning equipment when roles change, and keeping the inventory current as the team grows.
Finance teams use the asset register for depreciation tracking, budget planning, and audit preparation. And the exportable inventory that reflects current assignments and a full history of how equipment has moved across the organization.
HR teams benefit from employee device management during onboarding and offboarding to confirm which devices have been assigned to an employee and ensure equipment is returned when someone leaves.
Remote team managers use asset tracking to maintain visibility over distributed equipment — knowing which devices are assigned to which team members regardless of location, with a clear record if anything needs to be followed up.
WebWork protects your workspace data with SSL/TLS encryption, secure cloud infrastructure on Amazon S3, and Cloudflare-backed network security. Access to asset records is restricted to authorized roles and only Owners and Executive Managers can view and manage the asset register.
WebWork complies with GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA, and does not sell your data. Any information stored in your workspace is used solely for the purposes outlined in WebWork’s privacy policy.

See where your field team is working in real time, with location history, route playback, and geofence-based attendance for employees on the move.
Monitor attendance patterns, set work schedules, and get a clear view of who’s working, who’s late, and who’s absent across every shift and location.
Calculate pay based on tracked hours, apply custom rates, and process payroll directly in WebWork, without exporting data to a separate tool.
Company asset tracking software gives businesses a central place to register, assign, and monitor the equipment and devices they own. Instead of maintaining spreadsheets or relying on manual records, teams can see exactly what assets exist, who has each one, and the full history of how they’ve been assigned.
WebWork organizes assets into fixed categories but gives you the ability to create custom as well. The fixed ones are computers, mobile devices, networking equipment, servers & storage. Under Others, you can create and add your own items. Within each category, you can use preset types or create custom ones (e.g. subscription) to match your inventory.
Asset management is available on the Plus plan and above. Within the workspace, owners and executive managers have access to the asset management page and can add, assign, edit, archive, and delete assets.
When you assign devices to employees, WebWork automatically marks them as “In Use” and records the assignment in the asset’s audit log. If you reassign or unassign, the status updates accordingly and the change is logged with a timestamp.
Yes. You can track company devices assigned to employees regardless of their location.
Each asset has a dedicated audit log that records every assignment event: who the asset was assigned to, when the assignment was made, and who made the change. The log builds automatically and cannot be edited manually.
