A web time tracker — also called an online time tracker or browser-based time tracker — is a time tracking tool that runs in your browser with nothing to install. WebWork’s web time tracker logs hours from any device, syncs them to timesheets, reports, and payroll, and hands off to the desktop or mobile app when you need screenshots or GPS — from $3.99 per user per month.
Track time on the web without downloading anything. Sign in from any browser, pick a task, and start the timer. Your hours sync to timesheets, reports, and payroll automatically.
Select a project and task before you start. Every entry lands in your timesheets and reports automatically, so you always know what took how long.
Open a browser, sign in, and start tracking. Web-based time tracking works on Chromebooks, shared computers, tablets and any device your team already uses.
Start the timer and get to work. The web time tracker runs quietly in the background. There are no pop-ups and no interruptions.
All WebWork trackers sync to one dashboard. Start tracking in your browser at the office and pick up where you left off on another device.
There are two ways to track time in your browser with WebWork. Both sync to the same dashboard so you can use whichever fits the way you work.
The full dashboard in a browser tab. Track time, manage projects and tasks, and review your hours on any browser and any device.
Use the one-click timer in your Chrome toolbar. Start and stop tracking from any tab without leaving the page you're working on.
The Web Time Tracker records work hours only. It does not take screenshots, measure productivity, or monitor which sites your team visits.
If you need to see how much time your team spends on specific websites and apps, use App & Website Monitoring with the Desktop Tracker. It records app and website usage during tracked hours and shows it in your reports.
The workspace owner turns on web time tracking in Settings > Features > Web Time Tracking.
Sign in to your WebWork account and select the project and task you want to track time on.
Click start and get to work. Stop the timer when you're done — from the same tab or by signing in on another device, since everything syncs.
Hours tracked in the browser go directly into timesheets.
Tracked hours land in timesheets as your team works. Managers review and approve them, so records stay accurate.
See time broken down by project, task, and team member and spot where hours actually go.
WebWork calculates payroll from tracked hours and generates invoices from work logs, so billing matches the time actually worked.
WebWork offers multiple tracking platforms, all of which sync to the same dashboard.
Lightweight time tracking in any browser. Sign in, click start, and log hours on any device — no downloads needed.
The full suite: time tracking, screenshots, app and website monitoring, activity levels, and productivity insights.
