Three Ways to Use Stripe in WebWork

The Stripe connection covers both directions of money — paying the people who track time and getting paid for it — plus the payroll numbers in between.

Send Payments to Your Team

Once you and your team members have linked Stripe accounts, go to Finances > Payments, click Make Payment, pick the member, enter the amount, and submit. Set up once; every transfer after that takes seconds.

Get Paid by Clients on Your Invoices

Create a custom invoice or generate one from tracked hours, enable Accept Payment, and share it. Your client clicks Pay Now on the invoice and completes the payment on Stripe — no chasing, no separate payment link.

Turn Tracked Hours into Payroll

Set hourly rates for your team and WebWork calculates earned amounts from the hours they track. Review the payroll, then pay through Stripe or export the data in the format your payroll system expects.

How to Set Up Stripe in WebWork

Connect your Stripe account once. Team members link theirs to receive payments; clients need a Stripe account to pay your invoices.

1

Go to Settings > Finance and connect your Stripe account.

2

Ask team members to connect their own Stripe accounts so they can receive payments.

3

To pay someone, open Finances > Payments, click Make Payment, choose the member and amount, and submit.

4

To bill a client, open Finances > Invoices, create a custom or hour-based invoice, and enable Accept Payment.

5

Save & Share the invoice — your client clicks Pay Now and pays on Stripe.

Only the workspace owner can send payments. Every workspace member can receive payments after linking a Stripe account, and members can create invoices with Accept Payment enabled to be paid by a client directly.
