Windsurf has no time tracking of its own. Time tracking with Windsurf means connecting a tracker to it, and once WebWork is connected, every action you would take in the dashboard is available in the agent panel instead. In the same window as the branch you are working on.
Your agent starts and stops the timer on a named project and task, and the session records time on that task in WebWork with activity data and screenshots attached. Time entries can be added, edited and corrected the same way, including for a previous day.
Hours by project, hours by member, time on a task versus its estimate, activity levels, the daily timeline — your agent returns the numbers in the conversation. You describe the cut you want rather than assembling it in a report builder.
Timesheet approvals, task assignment, project creation, leave decisions and member changes are all tools the agent can call, not just data it can read. Every other time tracker with an MCP server gives an editor agent a way to write a time entry. WebWork gives it a way to run the workspace.
You can ask any of the following once the Windsurf time tracking integration is connected. Your agent works out which workspace, project or member you mean, so there are no IDs to look up.

Devin Desktop puts every local and cloud agent in one Kanban view, with Spaces grouping the sessions, PRs, files and context that belong together. The work is already organised the way projects and tasks are, which is the same shape WebWork records hours in.
Your agent knows which branch, file and task it is working on. Asking it to log the hours does not mean describing the work a second time, and the entry records on the right project and task the first time.
WebWork runs as an MCP server, and Windsurf supports MCP natively. There is nothing to install on your developer team's devices, and no separate window to keep in front of you.
Windsurf supports MCP natively, so there is nothing to install. A Workspace Owner or Executive Manager with a verified email address creates an OAuth2 app in WebWork, adds the server URL in Windsurf and signs in.
In WebWork, go to Settings > REST API.
Under OAuth2 Apps, create an app for Windsurf and copy the Client ID and App Secret. The secret is shown once.
In Windsurf, add WebWork as a remote MCP server at https://mcp.webwork-tracker.com/mcp, then sign in and approve read, write and admin access.
The WebWork and Windsurf integration needs approval on each side.
Only a Workspace Owner or an Executive Manager with a verified email address can connect the MCP server. The tools it publishes are administrative, so other member types cannot connect it.
Team admins decide whether their team can add MCP servers at all, and which servers are approved for use. On a team where an admin has set an approved list, WebWork needs to be on it before anyone can connect.
The connector works at your permission level and can do only what your role allows in WebWork. A tool your role cannot use in WebWork returns a permission error rather than a result.
Most time trackers have no official MCP server. The ones that do stop at time entries. WebWork's covers the whole platform, which is why an engineering lead can approve the week's timesheets in the same editor pane they reviewed the diff in.

Before using WebWork, it was difficult to remember exactly how much time I had spent on different tasks throughout the day. Now I just start the timer, switch between tasks whenever needed, and everything gets recorded automatically. It has made my daily work much more organized. I also use the Timeline Report a lot to review what I worked on during the day, especially when I need to recall a specific task or explain how my time was spent. One thing I really like is the timer UI it shows all the important information in one place, so I don't have to open the WebWork web app every time to check my hours, current task, or other details. It saves me time, and overall it has made time tracking and reporting much easier.
