If you already use Claude along with your calendar, your inbox and your documents, you can now use it with your time tracker as well. You no longer need to open the WebWork dashboard as our Claude time tracking integration makes it available directly in your Claude account. WebWork’s MCP server connects your workspace to Claude, so you ask Claude anything about your time tracker and get things done in the same conversation.

Time tracking with Claude means one message does what several dashboard visits used to.
Ask for numbers the way you’d ask a person for them. Claude reads the same data you’d filter in the dashboard, including tracked hours, attendance, billable hours and project budgeting, and answers in the chat instead of handing you a table.
Some questions cross several reports at once, making you look in three different places and compare data manually. Claude calls the tools it needs in sequence and comes back with one answer.
Ask Claude to approve timesheets and it will do it for you, even if you ask from the mobile app. The connection covers Claude on the web, Claude Desktop and Cowork and once it’s connected there, you can use it on the mobile app as well.
In your conversation with Claude, you can directly manage workspace activities like the following:
Claude makes each change as you, at your permission level and no higher.
The Claude MCP connector covers most of the workspace. What it can read and change depends on your WebWork role and on the plan your workspace is on.
Time entries, tracked hours and the report set, attendance records, projects and tasks, members and teams. Anything you can currently open a report for, you can ask about instead.
Ask Claude to start your timer on a specific project, ask how many vacation days are left or if your timesheet has been approved.
While most AI connectors stop short of timesheets and leave approvals, member and project changes, shifts, job titles, custom fields and expenses, WebWork’s MCP handles them all.

Only the Workspace Owner and Executive Managers can connect the MCP server. Once connected, Claude inherits your WebWork role permissions. It sees and does what your role already lets you see and do.
Connect MCP server
There are two ways to connect Claude to your time tracker.
Method 1
In Claude, open Customize > Connectors and click Add custom connector
Enter a name (for example WebWork) and the URL https://mcp.webwork-tracker.com/mcp
Open Advanced settings and paste your Client ID into the OAuth Client ID field and your App Secret into the OAuth Client Secret field. This step is required: WebWork does not support automatic client registration, so a connection without credentials will fail
Click Add, then Connect. Sign in with your WebWork account and approve the requested permissions (read, write and admin access)
On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an organization Owner first adds the connector the same way under Organization settings > Connectors; members then connect it from their own Settings > Connectors
Method 2
Connect from Claude’s Connectors Directory
In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors, click the plus button and browse the directory for WebWork
Review the listed capabilities, then click Connect
Follow the authentication prompts to sign in to WebWork and grant access
Now you get to perform your dashboard actions directly from a conversation with Claude.

Overall, my experience with WebWork Time Tracker has been positive. It has been reliable for daily use, accurate in tracking time, and helpful for managing workflow. It’s a solid upgrade after transitioning from other platforms, and it fits well for remote work environments.
The dashboard is super comprehensive, and the reports are perfect. The UI/UX of the dashboard makes it really easy to use, and you can get a review of the working of the team’s work fast and easily. Overall performance of the application is great, and there are no missed entries. The prices are quite reasonable, and they provide a great return over the investment.
You can connect any MCP-compatible AI assistant to WebWork, including ChatGPT as well. The WebWork and Claude integration runs on the same MCP server every other assistant connects to, though each one asks something slightly different during setup.
