Time Doctor offers three public plans, along with one private plan. The pricing seems straightforward at first glance. However, that is not always the case. Features tend to overlap across plans, there are many add-ons, and there is limited data storage on lower plans.

This review highlights all the plans, their costs, features, limitations, and annual cost for a 25-member team. If you’re choosing a time tracker for your team, here’s what to know about Time Doctor’s plans, add-ons, and total costs before you decide.

Prices checked October 2026. Time Doctor can change them, so confirm on its billing page before you buy.

Time Doctor Pricing at a Glance

Three things to keep in mind.

First, the annual billing system provides you two months of service for free, which means you save 16.6% compared to monthly billing.

Second, in most cases, when people mention “$20,” they talk about the premium pricing. It is actually the monthly price; the annual one is $16.70. Make sure you always compare tools within the same billing cycle.

Third, Standard costs about 75% more per user than Basic. Before upgrading, check whether you need its additional reports, payroll, scheduling and approval features.

Every new account gets a 14-day Premium trial, with no credit card required.

What Each Time Doctor Plan Includes

Each plan builds on the one below it. Standard has everything in Basic. Premium has everything in Standard.

Basic: $6.67 per User

Basic gives you instant visibility into a remote or hybrid team. You get:

  • Automatic tracking, online and offline
  • Projects and tasks
  • Timeline report
  • Screenshots
  • Groups and teams
  • Access to the knowledge base

A lot of the reports required by managers are not available. No activity report is available; neither is the web and app usage report nor the inactivity report and productivity score. Attendance, break and leave tracking, payroll, scheduling, and time approvals are available on higher-tier plans, not Basic. Live chat and email support are not available.

Basic may suit small teams that need only time tracking and screenshots.

Standard: $11.67 per User

Standard is where Time Doctor starts to work as a management tool. It adds:

  • Activity summary
  • Web and app usage reports
  • Configurable productivity ratings
  • Attendance, break tracking and leave tracking
  • Schedules and time approvals
  • Payroll
  • Work-life balance metrics
  • Real-time notifications
  • 60+ integrations
  • Live chat and email support

Standard may suit teams that need payroll, time approvals, schedules, and web and app usage reports. Data history is limited to six months.

Premium: $16.70 per User

Premium adds the analysis and security layer:

  • Benchmarks AI
  • Office vs. remote report
  • Unusual activity report
  • Mouse jiggler and clicker detection
  • Irregular keyboard activity
  • Internet connectivity tracking
  • Video screen recording
  • Executive dashboard
  • Open API access
  • Single sign-on (SSO) and automatic user provisioning
  • Client login access
  • Meeting insights and software cost insights
  • Two years of historical data
  • A dedicated account manager for accounts with 50 or more users

Enterprise: Custom Pricing

Enterprise includes every feature plus private cloud deployment, customizable BI dashboards, guided onboarding and custom development. You need to talk to sales for a quote.

Time Doctor Add-Ons and Limits

Basic and Standard buyers can add single features without moving up a full plan. Each add-on is billed on top of the plan. Premium includes most of them.

Add-onPrice (prices checked October 2026)
Software Cost Insights$3 per user/month
Benchmarks AI$3 per user/month
Unusual Activity Reporting$3 per user/month
Video Screen Recording$3 per user/month
Office vs. Remote Report$2 per user/month
Single Sign-On (SSO)$200 per account/month
Automated User Provisioning$200 per account/month
HRIS Native Integration$200 per integration/month
BigQuery Access$1,500 per account/month
Meeting Insights $2 per user/month

Two small notes. Software Cost Insights is not available on Basic at all. And BigQuery Access and HRIS Native Integration stay paid extras even on Premium.

When Add-Ons Stop Making Sense

One add-on at a time looks small. Together they add up.

The gap between Standard and Premium is $5.03 per user. Add Benchmarks AI and Unusual Activity Reporting to Standard and you pay $17.67. That is already above Premium at $16.70, and Premium gives you far more.

SSO follows the same logic. The $200 fee is flat, so it hurts small teams most. For 25 users it adds $8 per user. Standard plus SSO becomes $19.67. A simple rule: if your add-ons together cost more than $5.03 per user, price out Premium.

Limits to Check Before You Buy

Data history. Basic keeps 3 months. Standard keeps 6 months. Premium and Enterprise keep 2 years. If you handle billing disputes or audits, a short window can hurt.

Support. Live chat, email and callback support start at Standard. Callback is limited to accounts with an assigned account manager.

Account manager. A dedicated account manager is for Premium accounts with 50 or more users.

What Time Doctor Really Costs for a 25-Person Team

Per-user prices hide the real number. Here is what 25 users pay on annual billing.

PlanPer monthPer year
Basic$166.75$2,001
Standard$291.75$3,501
Premium$417.50$5,010

Annual billing, 25 users, before tax. Prices checked October 2026.

Paying monthly costs more. The same team pays $2,400 on Basic, $4,200 on Standard and $6,000 on Premium. Annual billing saves $399, $699 and $990 a year on those three plans.

Which Time Doctor Plan Fits Which Team

Basic: Best for teams that need basic time tracking and screenshots and can work within the plan’s reporting and data-history limits.

Standard: fits teams of 10 to 50 who need payroll, approvals and app usage reports. Watch the add-ons, and compare against Premium if you need more than one.

Premium: fits teams that need security controls, long data history, API access or a dedicated account manager. It also suits agencies that give clients login access.

Enterprise: fits large organizations with compliance rules, private cloud needs or custom BI.

Use the 14-day Premium trial to see which reports your managers open. Then buy the lowest plan that covers them.

Where WebWork Has Limits

WebWork Pro is the lowest-priced plan, but some features require an upgrade or add-on.

  • Shift scheduling: Available on Plus and Premium.
  • Timesheet approvals: WebWork’s pricing page lists this feature under Pro, while its Help Center lists it under Plus and Premium. Confirm current availability before choosing a plan.
  • Payroll and payments: Included in Plus and Premium. Pro users can add Payments & Payroll for $1.50 per user/month.
  • Screenshot limits: Pro allows up to 3 screenshots every 10 minutes, with 3 months of retention. Plus and Premium allow up to 10 screenshots every 10 minutes, with 1 year of retention.
  • Integrations: Pro supports one active integration at a time. Plus and Premium support unlimited active integrations.
  • Chat and file history: Pro keeps history for 30 days. Plus and Premium offer unlimited history.

Where Time Doctor Is Stronger

Before choosing either tool, ask both vendors for their current security and compliance documentation. Check which certifications, compliance requirements, and access controls apply to the specific plan you intend to purchase.

Time Doctor also offers Benchmarks AI, which its pricing information describes as comparing team performance against data from more than 250,000 users.

How to Avoid Overpaying for Any Time Tracker

Run four checks before you buy.

  1. List the reports you will open every week: Do not pay for features that only look good in a demo.
  2. Price the add-ons: Add up everything you need, then compare the total with the next plan up.
  3. Check data history: Make sure the window covers your payroll and audit needs.
  4. Compare billing cycles: Annual and monthly prices can differ by 16% or more.

Final Thoughts

Time Doctor pricing is fair for what Premium delivers. The trouble sits in the middle. Standard needs add-ons to match Premium, and a few add-ons cost more than the upgrade.

Know which reports you need. Price the full bundle. Then compare at least one other tool. Pick the plan that fits your team, not the one with the lowest sticker price.
