Automated Customer Invoicing
WebWork expands its invoicing automation to cover customer billing alongside the existing team member payment workflow. Currently, workspaces can automatically generate invoices for team member payments when timesheets are approved. With this update, the same approval trigger can also generate customer-facing invoices automatically. Administrators enable the setting once, and every approved timesheet is analyzed, split by customer, and converted into one or more invoices — removing the need to manually create customer invoices after each billing cycle.
How It Works
When a timesheet is approved, WebWork identifies all customers the team member worked for during that period and calculates the billable hours for each. The system then automatically generates separate invoices per customer based on the tracked work. If a team member worked for three different customers in one timesheet period, three distinct invoices are created — each reflecting only the relevant hours and rates. This ensures accurate, customer-specific billing without any manual splitting or data entry.
