Asset Management
Overview:
WebWork introduces Asset Management, a centralized registry for tracking all company-owned hardware from a single place. The feature is available on Plus plans and above.
What’s included:
Assets are organised across five fixed categories — Computers, Mobile Devices, Networking, Servers and
Storage, and Other — with category-specific properties and the flexibility to define custom types and
custom fields. An asset table with sorting, filtering, column visibility controls, and search makes it
straightforward to navigate even large inventories. Each asset has a dedicated detail page with image
attachments, notes, and a complete audit log covering every change, including assignment history.
How it works:
Status updates automatically as equipment is assigned and returned — “In Use” when linked to a member,
“Available” when not. Devices where the WebWork desktop tracker is installed can be imported directly into
the registry, while CSV import with validation preview handles existing inventories from spreadsheets or
other systems. Administrators can archive retired assets and permanently delete them when no longer
needed.
