Redesigned Chrome Extension With Break Tracking and More
WebWork is delivering a complete redesign of its Chrome extension, transforming it into a full-featured tracking hub within the browser. The updated extension introduces dedicated pages, break tracking, and a built-in time editor, reducing the need to switch to the main application during the workday.
Break Tracking
Built-in break tracking lets employees start and stop breaks directly from the Chrome extension. Breaks are logged automatically alongside working hours, giving managers accurate attendance data and ensuring compliance with workplace break policies.
Overview Page
The Overview page presents a snapshot of daily and weekly tracked time alongside break duration. A weekly chart visualizes tracked hours across the week, helping team members monitor their work patterns and stay on pace without opening the full application.
Projects Page
The Projects page displays all assigned projects along with tracked time for the current day and week, as well as any configured time limits. Users can start tracking directly from this page, making it easy to log hours against a specific project without returning to the main tracking view.
Tasks Page
The Tasks page gives users visibility into their own tasks and, depending on member type and permissions, tasks assigned to other team members. Each task shows its tracked time and current status, and users can update statuses or start tracking time directly from this view.
Time Editor
The integrated Time Editor enables users with the appropriate permissions to review, adjust, and correct their time entries without leaving the browser. Manual edits are reflected immediately in timesheets and reports, reducing the back-and-forth between the extension and the web application.
