Xero Integration — Invoice Syncing and Contact Management
The Xero integration has been significantly expanded with the ability to send both internal and external invoices directly to Xero. Invoices appear in Xero as either a Bill or an Invoice depending on the type — internal invoices from employees become Bills, while client-facing invoices become Invoices in your Xero account.
When an invoice is sent, the integration automatically creates a contact in Xero if one does not already exist, ensuring that your contact list stays in sync without manual data entry. You can also import WebWork members as contacts into Xero and vice versa, making it easy to maintain a unified contact database across both platforms. Currently, invoices are sent manually — automatic sending is not yet available.
This update makes the WebWork-Xero connection a practical tool for day-to-day accounting workflows. Finance teams no longer need to recreate invoices in Xero or manually match contacts between systems. Generate your invoices in WebWork based on tracked time and rates, send them to Xero with a click, and let the integration handle the rest.
